Colonialism can be found in every facets of Filipino life. Take for example those Filipino branded (or rebranded) phones. People still opt to buy from huge names such as Samsung and Apple when the local brands are enough to satisfy their needs. I tried those local phones and they’re actually good. I guess people are willing to shell-out their hard earned money for the name “Samsung” or “iPhone” emblazoned on practically the same phones as the local ones.
